The February 2025 issue of Future Energy Journal brings together multidisciplinary research addressing advances in energy storage, sustainable buildings, power-system resilience, wind energy, and electric-vehicle technologies. This issue examines the cycling characteristics of anatase TiO₂ nanotubes as negative electrodes for lithium-ion batteries, contributing to the development of advanced energy-storage materials. Complementing this work is a case study evaluating zero-energy strategies for mixed-use buildings, highlighting approaches to improving building efficiency and reducing energy consumption. The issue also explores how electricity utility practitioners in the United States approach power-system resilience, providing insights into strategies for strengthening the reliability and adaptability of modern energy infrastructure. Further, an exergy-based assessment investigates the performance, economic viability, and sustainability of small wind energy conversion systems using standard and extended exergy accounting methods. Finally, a comprehensive study of advanced thermal management strategies for electric vehicles examines approaches to enhancing efficiency, reliability, and overall vehicle performance. Together, these contributions highlight the technological and practical challenges involved in developing more efficient, resilient, and sustainable energy systems.
