Plagiarism

Based on the Future Publishing LLC policy, the submitted manuscripts must be original. It means that the articles should not be submitted to other journals. Also, the sentences used to write the manuscripts cannot be copied from other published or unpublished articles. If a plagiarism case is found, the authors will be added to the blacklist of the Future publisher, and these authors will be prohibited from publishing articles in all journals of the Future publisher.

Duplicate Submission

If the journal finds that the manuscript has been submitted or published elsewhere, the manuscript will be rejected, and the manuscript's authors will be added to the publisher's blacklist. If the authors used their data from the published article(s) or article(s) that are under review to write a new manuscript, they must be properly cited and indicate the novelty of the manuscript.

Citation Manipulation

If the author(s) cites some unnecessary references to increase the number of a particular author(s) or journal(s) citations, it can be a citation manipulation infraction. In this case, the author(s) will be added to the publisher's blacklist.

Data Fabrication and Falsification

If a manuscript has been written based on falsified or fabricated experimental data, including manipulating images, the author(s) will be added to the publisher's blacklist.

AI Use Policy

The Future Sustainability (FUSUS) Journal recognizes the significant impact of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning on academic publishing. With the increasing accessibility of generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude, it is essential to harness their advantages responsibly while maintaining ethical integrity. This policy outlines FUSUS’s official position regarding the use of AI by authors.
Authors are permitted to use AI tools to support manuscript preparation, as long as such use is ethical, transparent, and responsible. However, AI must not be used to produce original research content or interpret study results. Authors remain entirely accountable for all material in their manuscripts, including portions assisted by AI. AI systems cannot be credited as authors under any circumstances. As stated by COPE’s 2023 position, authorship requires human accountability, informed consent, and intellectual contribution—criteria that AI tools cannot meet. Thus, only human contributors who satisfy standard authorship requirements may be listed as authors.
Any use of AI tools must be fully disclosed at the time of manuscript submission. This includes their application in text generation, image production, data processing, coding assistance, or translation. Such disclosures should appear in the Acknowledgments section, specifying the AI tool’s name, version, and purpose.
Authors are fully responsible for ensuring the accuracy, originality, and integrity of their work, regardless of AI involvement. They must verify that AI-assisted content is free from factual errors, fabricated information, hallucinated citations, biased reasoning, or plagiarism.
